Continued public hearing, complaint filed by John Darmanin against the SF Fire Commission for alleged refused public comment.

Order of Determination finding the SF Fire Commission in violation of Section 67.15 of the Administrative Code and by breaking out the vote on the meeting minutes in four separate votes, it did not provide public comments to members of the public who wish to speak. (Craven/Comstock)

Motion fails.

Motion to send a letter to the Fire Commission recommending following:

  1. Reasonableness in sending out agenda items, avoiding bundling, if at all possible.
  2. Provide opportunities for public comments.

3. Provide clear rules for the public and policy bodies to operate. (Cauthen/Comstock)

Public Hearing, complaint filed by Micki Jones against the SF Fire Department for alleged refusal to release copies of reports, documentation, and whatever determination as a result of Investigative Service Bureau’s investigation.

Order of Determination finding the SF Fire Department in violation of Sections 67.21(b), 67.24(c7), 67.26 and 67.27 of the Sunshine Ordinance and in violation of Section 6254(c) the California Public Record Act. Based on the violations, the Task Force orders the Fire Department to produce the report to Micki Jones prior to the next Fire Commission meeting. (Craven/Sterner)

Member Comstock wishes to discuss making public notices more prominent at future meetings.

 

Member Pilpel discussed Board of Supervisors Resolution urging the Redevelopment Agency to establish a public records policy based on the San Francisco Sunshine Ordinance.
