1. Call to Order
Commissioner Martinez called the meeting to order at 4:41pm.
Commissioners Martinez, Lau, Quesada, Tsibulskaya, and Casting, plus Student Delegate Maxwell Wallace.
2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)
Approved by acclamation.
3. Approval of Minutes (Action Item)
12/11/08 minutes approved by acclamation.
1/15/09 minutes approved by acclamation.
4. Public Comment on Items not on Agenda
None.
5. Staff Report
Staff updated the Committee on the expulsion policy hearings held by the City & Schools Select Committee.
6. Unfinished Business
A. SFUSD Budget/rainy day Fund
Committee Approved including a statement on utilizing the full 25% of the available Rainy Day funds for the SFUSD by acclamation.
B. Teacher Feedback
Committee approved recommendation's language by acclamation.
C. A-G Requirements
Commissioners Martinez updated the Committee on his A-G resolution.
D. YouthVote
The meeting was extended 15 minutes. By acclamation, the Committee agreed to remove Student Delegate qualifications that required candidates to get adult signatures from teachers and other staff.
