1. Call to Order
Acting Chair Commissioner LaCroix called the meeting to order at 5:39pm.

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)
Commissioner Marshall-Fricker moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Quintero. The agenda was approved unanimously by acclamation.

3. Public Comment on Items not on Agenda
There was none.

4. New Business

A. Election of Chair
Commissioner Marshall-Fricker, seconded by Liang, nominated Commissioner LaCroix to be Chair. LaCroix was elected unanimously by acclamation.
Commissioner Quintero, seconded by LaCroix, nominated Commissioner Marshall-Fricker as Vice-Chair. Marshall-Fricker was elected unanimously by acclamation.

B. Discussion: Update Resolution Urging the Municipal Transportation Authority to Institute a Youth Lifeline Pass and Not Increase Youth Fares (Commissioner LaCroix)
Commissioners LaCroix and Liang read aloud and explained the resolution that they wrote concerning the Youth Discount Fast Pass.
The committee discussed the resolution and urged LaCroix and Liang to introduce it.

C. Discussion and Possible Action: Healthy Food Access in District 10
There was brief discussion of the need for the need of more retail stores in the Bayview that sell fresh, healthy groceries. Commissioner LaCroix said she was interested in working on this item.
D. Discussion and Possible Action: Budget Update: Recreation and Parks Department, Department of Human Services
There was a short conversation about the necessity of Youth Commissioners to be vigilant of the budget process of these two departments.

E. Discussion and Possible Action: Middle School City Wide Issues
Commissioners Marshall-Fricker and LaCroix discussed various issues—including the supervision of bus stops where middle schoolers congregate before and after school—affecting the students at their schools.

5. Old Business

A. Discussion and Possible Action: Upcoming HOPE SF Youth Leadership Academy
Staff member Mario Yedidia updated commissioners on the Youth Leadership Academy of HOPE SF, which will engage young residents of San Francisco’s most distressed public housing developments in the rebuilding of those developments.

6. Announcements (This includes Community Events)
There were none.

7. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 6:25pm.
