1. Check In and introduction of day. Meeting began at 11:50am, members present: Vitaly, Butler, Chen, Kutner, Lamo, Michaels, Otalvaro-Hormillosa, Ozoa, Robertson, Turner.
2. Discussion of Motivation and goals. Members shared why they wanted to join the Task Force and what goals they wanted to achieve by June.
3. Discussion of Meeting Process. Members discussed how meeting process could be made to be more inclusive.
-Hard copy updates from working groups would be helpful.
-When new members join the Task Force we need a welcoming process.
-New members should be introduced to the Youth Commission/HRC/Board of Sups.
-We should do a 6 month check in with supportive supervisors. Give us a direct link. (We currently do updates at Youth Commission meetings every meeting).
-Spend time explaining how we have achieved our accomplishments. How was the legislation passes, how was money acquired, etc.
-Members should ask more questions. The more we know the more we pass on.
-Past presentations have been general, they need to be specific to LGBTQQ youth issues.
-Votes should be more formal: YES, NO, ABSTAIN
-A few members are very involved, how can everyone be involved?
-Record when individuals who do not agree with consensus votes.
-Make sure formal votes are taken when necessary.
-Chair should check in with members before and after votes to make sure everyone is heard.
-Members should feel free to copy minutes and agendas an given them to other people.
-More food. (I will try! no promises).
-Stop the process for clarification.

5. Discussion re: Creation of timelines and work plans for remainder of term.
FEBRUARY:
Health and Mental will focus on more information gathering and will meet with Dana Van Gorder of DPH to discuss recommendations 61,62,63,64,69,71,77, Dimensions clinic board to discuss 63, the Ryan White Care Council and HIV Prevention and Planning Council to discuss 65,66 and the DPH/Youth Commission Task Force on Suicide to discuss 70. Will research the need for legislation regarding Gender Identity Disorder.
Family, Housing and Shelter will meet with HRC: LGBTAC re: 47, MOCYF re: 38,42,45, 52,54,58
Juvenile Justice will meet with Cheyenne Bell from the Youth Guidance Center to draft a Memorandum of Understanding re: 108, meet with Bob Wertz from YGC re: 104,106,107,109, 110,111,114,116, contact Police Chief re: 115.
Youth and Schools will plan focus group with young people for March.
MARCH:
Health and Mental Health will work for the Task Force to send the draft training legislation to the Board this will help to implement 60,61,62,64,68,67,78 they will also attend a substance use and abuse task force meeting.
Family, Housing and Shelter will meet with Bill Bettencourt and Maggie Donahue from DHS re: 36,37,38,39,40,41,42,45,46,48,49,50,51,53,54,58.
Juvenile Justice will meet with MOCYF re: 112 and will work with youth services on 98. They will also meet with the City Attorney, DHS and Huckleberry House re: 110 and 111.
Youth and Schools will draft a letter to the Superintendent of SFUSD re: 26,4,25,10,21,16,32, 34. They will meet with the Queer Youth Leadership project re: 7,6,9,10,121,5,4,13 and will meet with Juanita Owens of the School Board and the Superintendent of Schools.
APRIL:
Health and Mental health will advocate for the sensitivity training legislation, convene a substance abuse provider forum and if need will have a final draft of Gender Identity Disorder legislation to submit to the Board of Supervisors.
Youth and Schools will meet with Kevin Gogin re: 5,6 and 27 and possibly present at the OHMY conference.
MAY:
Health and Mental Health will hopefully have procured money for Dimension clinic’s outreach budget as well as work on their final draft of their report to the Board.
Youth and Schools will gather program biographies from agencies which serve LGBTQQ youth in schools to include in their report to the Board to give information about the agencies which are implementing the recommendations.
JUNE:
Health and Mental Health will have a final draft of their report to the Board and if introduced will hopefully have GID legislation approved by July.
