1.   Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 6:15 PM.  Present:  Vitaly, Chen, Kutner, Rodgers, Rothman, Slozberg, Turner (7) Excused: DeVries, Otalvarro-Hormillosa, Prozan, Robertson (4) Absent: Lamo (1) Non Voting Members present: Roy Butler, Dana Van Gorder, Michael Johnson

2.  Approval of Agenda: Quorum was not present, agenda not approved.
 
3.  Approval of Minutes October 22, 1998:  Quorum was not present, minutes not approved.
 
4.  New Business:

    D.  Presentation by Dana Van Gorder, Galen Leung and Michael Baxter of the Department of Public Health. (Recordings of this presentation are available for the public).  This presentation focused on the structure of DPH, important people that the Task Force may want to talk with and an overview of the budget process and how we can best advocate for increased LGBTQQ funding.
    E.  Discussion and Celebration re: How far have we come?  Task Force members took time to look at what we have been doing well and how to improve.  The following is a list of feedback from our brainstorm session.

    Creating database to track our progress Send letter to Non Voting members updating them
    Group’s  willingness to learn in the face of adversity Know our roles better

    Dedication by the group People getting to meetings on time, 6pm 
    The Juvenile Justice Working Group Make sure we all understand what is going on, ask each other if we are unclear 
    Working with busy people Do more personal check ins with people (Josh) 
    Have a retreat.
       
5.  Announcements
  Joshua announced that Pam David, Director of Mayor's Office of Community Development, is interested in having young people serve on MOCD's Citizen's Advisory Council.  Anyone interested should contact Josh.
 Meg Rothman announced a job opening for HIV prevention services out of ARIAS, in San Jose.  If you would like further information contact Meg.
