COMMUNITY MEETING

There will be public comment on each item.


1. Call to Order and Roll Call (a check-in) 20 min


2. Discussion and possible action re: Agenda Changes (including cancellations and moving items around or continuing items for another time) 1 min


3. Discussion and possible action re: Approval of the Minutes of February 7, 2000 meeting 1 min


4. Executive Committee Report (Discussion about the goals and history of the Commission) 5 min


5. Committee Report Backs (Each committee will explain what project they are working on. After each report back, people will have a chance to give input or suggestions.) 15 min

A. Discussion and possible action re: Legislation referred by the Board of Supervisors. File 000150: Ordinance amending Administrative Code Section 86.2 to authorize the San Francisco Children and Families Commission to communicate its position on federal, state and local legislation affecting young children.
B. Discussion and possible action re: Presentation by Elaine Shen with the Television Race Initiative on interracial conflict between African American and Asian American youth in the Western Addition/Fillmore 15 min
C. Discussion and possible action re: Presentation by Police Officer Michelle Aschero or Police Department representative on community programs in the Western Addition and building positive relationships between police and youth
D. Discussion and possible action re: Resolution commending Susan Kim, Director of the Youth Commission, for her work
