Trisha Prashad introduced Hydra Mendoza (Rm. 475) who highlighted the Mayor's investment in the City's school.

Revelo-Lee asked about the SAC, Prop. H
- Hydra mentioned her ongoing and long-standing relationship with Prop. H and her interest in hearing more from the young people on how Prop. H can be allocated
Anjum asked Hydra how the partnerships with the City is helping drop-out prevention
- Hydra discussed the DCYF mapping project and building on the partnership and resources that the City offers.
5. Staff Report:
Diana reminded folks about Wednesday's holiday party–bring dish and white elephant gift
Rachel reminded YC about the Youth Empowerment Summit (January 20, 2007)

- Youth Empowerment Fund
Commissioner Albert told the YC about the development of the questions for the RFP
- Transitional Youth Task Force
Commissioner Rubin updated the on the TYTF focus groups
- Youth Empowerment Summit: None
- Discussion/possible action: DCYF CSAP statement/feedback
The Commission reviewed the draft the of the CSAP and gave general feedback
- Will be emailed out and voted on via email by Friday
12. New Business
- (Moved to 11A) Judson True and Peter
Introduced Transit Effectiveness Project that the MTA is undergoing
Commissioner James asked about the hiring of the people from D10 in the implementation of the 3rd Street light rail
Judson said he would check on those stats and get back, contact Judson with more information @ Judson.true@sfmta.com

C. Discussion/possible endorsement:
Commissioner Gong introduced
[Resolution urging San Francisco Unified School District to implement California minor consent rights into health education curriculum of all San Francisco public high schools]
- Health and Social Services Committee already approved with amendments, worked on their revisions and asks for the full commission's endorsement.
- Amend: eliminate with discretion of' and add and' (13 Ayes, 1 Abstentions, 0 Nays)
- Approved: Albert/2nd–Gramlich (12 Ayes, 2 Abstentions, 0 Nays)
- Other feedback: Concerns with health education classes not taken early enough in the high school career, would like to see all freshmen take it their first year.
