3. Public Comment (This is chance for people to give their thoughts on youth
issues, feed back to the Commission or any other comments. Each member of the
public will be allotted the same number of minutes to speak.)

A) Discussion and possible action re: Presentation from Julia Globus-Sabori
on possible collaboration with the Human Rights Commission on juvenile justice
issues.
B) Discussion and possible action re: A 2-way hearing with representatives
from the Youth Commission, Board of Supervisors, Juvenile Probation Commission,
Human Rights Commission, Police Commission, District Attorney’s Office on
the Impact of Proposition 21 on youth in San Francisco and how the city should
respond. Committee members will begin planning a joint hearing which would
address how the city is responding to Proposition 21. Recommendations from
this hearing help create new legislation and a Juvenile Justice Task Force
to monitor the city’s response.
C) Discussion and possible action re: Collaboration with the Board of Supervisors
and Commissions and Departments.
Committee members will plan meetings and presentations with findings from
Hear Us and other research to relevant city agencies in preparation for the
hearings.
D) Discussion and possible action re: Follow-up with other Bay Area Youth
Commissions.
Committee members will evaluate the collaboration with other Bay Area Youth
Commissions, decide if and how they would like to continue working with them.
E) Discussion and possible action re: Setting Next Meeting’s Agenda.
