III. Discussion of 2002 Budget and Possible Recommendation for Modification of the Budget proposed by the Department of Elections (Action Item):
Tammy Haygood & Adriana Cruz presented the Elections Redistricting, Reprecincting Task Force Budget Proposal to the Committee for discussion; each line item was discussed individually.

Motion 013102-1: To modify to Budget as follows:
· Add $20,000 for City Attorney
· Increase Elections Task Force City Hall Meetings to 9 Televised Meetings
· Move $10,000 from Newspapers allocation to Website allocation
(Murray/Quintin): Moved, Seconded, and Unanimously Passed.
IV. Discussion of Proposals from Elections Consultants and Possible Recommendations of a Consultant (Action Item):
Adriana Cruz presented the Elections Consultants Proposal from last year to the Committee for Discussion.
Motion 013102-2:
That the Department of Elections notifies the consultants to renew their proposals reflecting a new time line and a new budget range of ($40,000-$45,000), and to invite them to the Monday Meeting (02/04/02) to make a 15 min. presentation of their renewed proposals.
