The guidelines assist the Department in evaluating whether projects have the potential to result in transportation-related impacts. This update – the first comprehensive update since 2002 – is the outcome of a multi-year effort involving local and regional government agencies, consultants, the San Francisco Planning Commission, and the public.

Effective January 2019, the Historic Resource Assessment Pilot Program which will target a 60-day response time on providing preliminary feedback regarding whether a property is eligible for a listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NR) and/or California Register of Historical Resources (CR) in cases where a property’s historic resource status is unknown.
