855 STEVENSON STREET – located on the east side of 10th Street between Market and Jessie Streets, Assessor’s 3508, Lot 055. Request for a Permit to Alter for the construction of a new sky-bridge, connecting two existing buildings at 1355 Market Street (Assessor’s 3508, Lot 1) and 875 Stevenson Street (Assessor’s 3508, Lot 039). Specifically, the common area on the 9th floor of 1355 Market Street will be connected to the common areas on the 9th floor of the building at 875 Stevenson Street, with visual access to and from the 10th floor. One of the two subject buildings, 1355 Market Street, is historically known as the Western Furniture Exchange & Merchandise Mart and is a Category I (Significant) building under Article 11 of the Planning Code.
