CULTURAL HERITAGE ASSETS DISCUSSION – The San Francisco Preservation Element and Cultural Heritage Policy discussion. The Cultural Heritage Assets Committee of the Historic Preservation Commission began holding hearings in December 2014. The purpose of the committee hearings is to provide a discussion forum for topics related to cultural heritage preservation. The November hearing will include a presentation by Judy Nemzoff, Program Director at the San Francisco Arts Commission. Judy will speak about the Art Commission’s Cultural Centers program and their role in the management of public art and historic monuments. The hearing will also provide an opportunity for members of the public to contribute to a growing list of businesses, community organizations, and neighborhoods institutions that deserve recognition and protection.
