CULTURAL HERITAGE ASSETS DISCUSSION – The Cultural Heritage Assets Committee of the Historic Preservation Commission began holding hearings in December 2014. The purpose of the Committee hearings is to provide a discussion forum for topics related to cultural heritage preservation. The December hearing will include an Informational Presentation from the San Francisco Planning Department regarding the purpose and functions of cultural heritage districts. This discussion is intended to prepare the committee and public to review draft legislation that would establish a cultural heritage district program at the January 17, 2018 hearing. Public participation in the hearing is encouraged. The Committee welcomes written comments as well as public testimony.
