1. Call to Order and Roll Call

Chair Kennelly called the meeting to order at 5:41 pm.

Present: Chair Kennelly, Commissioner Fuentes.

Not Present: Vice Chair Gaime (excused), Commissioner Price (excused), Commissioner Paz (excused), Commissioner Maldonado.

Staff: Deputy Director Sykes, Commission Clerk Richardson

3. Action Item: Approval of previous minutes

1. Approval of May 25, 2016 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

The Executive Committee could not approve the minutes due to a lack of quorum.  No corrections

were made to the minutes; minutes tabled for approval at the next Executive Committee meeting.

4. Action Items

1. Annual Report: Update

Chair Kennelly explained the plan of action for composing the Annual Report draft with Commissioner Paz and Vice Chair Gaime.

2. Attendance Report

Director Sykes gave comments on the IRC Full Commission and Executive Committee attendance

report. Chair Kennelly recommended that the Executive Committee further review the report at their

next meeting. Chair Kennelly recommended this report be considered with the review of the IRC

bylaws.

3. Supreme Court Decision: Executive Action on Immigration Update

Director Sykes gave a report on the upcoming Supreme Court Decision on the Executive Action on Immigration. She detailed the possible outcomes of the decision and possible actions that could take place locally. Chair Kennelly recommended that the Commission plan community information presentations should the Supreme Court rule in favor of the implementation of expanded DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans).

4. Staff Report

Director Sykes gave a general staff report and update on the June 16^th, 2016 meeting held by

Board of Supervisors President London Breed regarding issues of mistreatment and sexual abuse

among the janitorial workforce, many of whom are immigrant women. Chair Kennelly suggested

discussing this issue further at the next Executive Committee Meeting.

6. Old Business

Director Sykes discussed the IRC Task List with the Executive Committee. Chair Kennelly requested an electronic version to circulate and conduct follow up on the tasks listed.

Commissioner Fuentes invited the Executive Committee to attend the upcoming SF Pathways to Citizenship Workshop on August 8, 2016.

Chair Kennelly adjourned the meeting at 6:05 pm.
