III. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT DISCUSSION 10 min.
A. Executive Director's Report Executive Director Murase Explanatory document: The Executive Director’s Report discusses the work of the Department based on the Commission’s Strategic Plan which reflects the principles of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
IV. CONSENT AGENDA DISCUSSION/ACTION 10 min.
All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda and are considered to be routine by the Commission on the Status of Women. They will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. Members of the public may speak on each item listed on the Consent Agenda.

Invited Rini Chakraborty, Western Regional Director with Amnesty International USA, will give an overview of the San Francisco Chapter.
C. Women’s Intercultural Network – California Women’s Agenda 10 min.
A board member will provide a debrief about the September 25 summit.
D. Transition Network 10 min.
Robyn Yale will provide an overview of the work of the Transition Network which provides support to older women thru various transitions.
The Commission will review the retreat agenda.
VI. PUBLIC COMMENT DISCUSSION 5 min.
This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for Commission’s future consideration.
