Explanatory document: The Executive Director’s Report discusses the work of the Department based on the Commission’s Strategic Plan which reflects the principles of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

B. Secure Communities Presentation 10 min.
UC Berkeley Graduate Intern, Katherine Ray will present a report on Secure Communities.

C. Women & the Economy Summit, September 13-16, San Francisco
Dr. Murase will provide an update on this international summit, convened by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
