Explanatory document: The Executive Director’s Report discusses the work of the Department based on the Commission’s Strategic Plan which reflects the principles of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda and are considered to be routine by the Commission on the Status of Women. They will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission. DPW Director Mohammed Nuru will provide an update on the agency’s gender equality work.

C. Commission Media Protocol
Commissioner Julie Soo will present information related to different levels of media response. Media Affairs Director Aimee Allison will discuss next steps in developing a Commission policy.

Commissioners can report on activities related to the work of the Commission.

VII. PUBLIC COMMENT DISCUSSION 5 min.
This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for Commission’s future consideration.
