A. Executive Director's Report 15 min.
Explanatory document: The Executive Director’s Report discusses the work of the Department based on the Commission’s Strategic Plan which reflects the principles of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

IV. CONSENT AGENDA DISCUSSION/ACTION 30 min.
All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda and are considered to be routine by the Commission on the Status of Women. They will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. Members of the public may speak on each item listed on the Consent Agenda.

V. NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION/ACTION

A. FY2011-2012 Violence Against Women Prevention & ACTION 20 min.
Intervention Grants Annual Performance Summary
Graduate Fellow Katherine Ray will present the performance summary for the VAW Grants Program which details service hours and clients served by the 24 Partner Agencies providing services to women survivors of violence and their families.

B. Impact of the San Francisco Sheriff’s Situation on Domestic Violence Policy Work 60 min.
On August 16, the Ethics Commission sustained charges of official misconduct against suspended Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi. The Commission will review the recommendation of the Justice & Courage Oversight Panel on Domestic Violence Policy Reform on this issue.

Members of the Justice & Courage Oversight Panel will review key policy proposals on domestic violence as follows:

Action: To adopt a position on the status of the Sheriff.

C. 2012 Conflict of Interest Code Review DISCUSSION 10 min.
Commissioners will review proposed amendments to the Commission’s Conflict of Interest Code.

VI. PUBLIC COMMENT DISCUSSION 5 min.
This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for Commission’s future consideration.

VII. ADJOURNMENT ACTION 1 min.
Adjourn the meeting in memory of Milton Marks III, Judge Ollie Marie-Victoire, and Helen Gurley Brown.
