III. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT DISCUSSION/ACTION

A. Executive Director's Report 10 min.
Explanatory document: The Executive Director’s Report discusses the work of the Department based on the Commission’s Strategic Plan which reflects the principles of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

IV. CONSENT AGENDA DISCUSSION/ACTION 20 min.
All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda and are considered to be routine by the Commission on the Status of Women. They will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. Members of the public may speak on each item listed on the Consent Agenda.

A. Gender Analysis update from the Department of Public Works 20 min.
Mohammed Nuru, Director of the Department of Public Works, will provide an update on the agency’s gender equality work

B. 2012 Girls Report Update: Addendum and Recommendations 20 min.
Ann Lehman, Policy Director, will present recommendations from the June public hearing on the 2012 Girls Report.

Action: Approve proposed recommendations for the 2012 Girls Report Hearing.

C. 5th World Conference on Women Update 15 min.
Aimee Allison, Director of Marketing and Community Outreach will provide an update on the 5th World Conference planning.

V. Reports 10 min.
Commissioners can report on activities related to the work of the Commission.

VI. PUBLIC COMMENT DISCUSSION 5 min.
This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for Commission’s future consideration.
