III. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT DISCUSSION/ACTION

A. Executive Director's Report 10 min.
Explanatory document: The Executive Director’s Report discusses the work of the Department based on the Commission’s Strategic Plan which reflects the principles of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

B. Horizons Unlimited 10min.
Nora Rios Reddick, will provide an overview of services provided at Horizons.

C. Report from the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women 10 min.
Dr. Murase will provide a report on the trainings she conducted in New York at the UN Parallel Sessions, and introduce the proposal the host the UN 5th World Conference on Women 2015 in San Francisco. Long-time proponent of the 5th World Conference on Women and a speaker at the UN Parallel Sessions on the topic, Delphine Jacquin and Esther Colwill of Deloitte, and Paul Oliva of Oliva Consulting will provide additional background.

IV. CONSENT AGENDA DISCUSSION/ACTION 15 min.
All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda and are considered to be routine by the Commission on the Status of Women. They will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. Members of the public may speak on each item listed on the Consent Agenda.

Beverly Popek , Acting Contract Compliance Officer, will provide an overview of the local business enterprise.

B. The Adult Probation Department 20 min.
Chief Wendy Still and Jessica Flintoft Director of the Reentry Division will provide and update.

VI. Reports 15 min.
Commissioners can report on activities related to the work of the Commission.

VII. PUBLIC COMMENT DISCUSSION 5 min.
This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for Commission’s future consideration.
