III. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT DISCUSSION/ACTION

A. Executive Director's Report 10 min.
Explanatory document: The Executive Director’s Report discusses the work of the Department based on the Commission’s Strategic Plan which reflects the principles of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

B. Cooperative Restraining Order Clinic (CROC) 10 min.
Emberly Cross, Coordinating Attorney of CROC, will provide an update on the work of the agency which is funded, in part, by the Violence Against Women Prevention & Intervention Grants Program of the Department.

IV. CONSENT AGENDA DISCUSSION/ACTION 15 min.
All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda and are considered to be routine by the Commission on the Status of Women. They will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. Members of the public may speak on each item listed on the Consent Agenda.

1. Housing Opportunity, Partnerships, and Engagement (HOPE SF) Report 20 min.
Bevan Dufty, Director of HOPE, will provide an overview of the new office.

2. Mary Elizabeth Inn, Justice & Courage Housing Committee Update 20 min.
Executive Director Dion Roberts will discuss transitional housing and provide an update on the work of the Housing Committee of the Justice & Courage Oversight Panel which she chairs.

B. NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF DISCUSSION

COMMISSIONS FOR WOMEN REPORT 15 min.
Cecilia Zamora, President of the National Association of Commissions for Women, will provide a brief update and overview.

C. NOMINATIONS OF OFFICERS FOR 2012-2013 DISCUSSION/ACTION 10 min.
President Gulbengay will entertain nominations for President and Vice President of the Commission for 2012-2013. The election will take place at the June 27 Commission meeting.
Action: To nominate candidate for President and Vice President for 2012-2013.

This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for Commission’s future consideration.
