May Liang is the Commission Secretary and Permit Administrator of the San Francisco Entertainment Commission. May joined the team in early 2022. Prior to joining the Entertainment Commission, May worked as the Commission Secretary and Film Coordinator for the San Francisco Film Commission for eight years. May is also a Stage Director and Theater Artist of Color based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is the Artistic Director of Ferocious Lotus Theatre Company. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology and Theater and Performance Studies at UC Berkeley.
