CALL TO ORDER
Chair Tan called the meeting to order at 5:42PM.

Corrective Actions: Nothing to Report. Report from the Sound Inspectors Jordan Pauley report on recent venue sound inspections and report of activities by staff. [Discussion Item]

COMPLAINTS:
2/13/2016 1:10 PM Tunnel Top 601 Bush St.: I received a direct complaint about the venue in regards to patron noise. Both complainant and venue sent over pictures of sidewalk. No more than 3-5 patrons were located on sidewalk. Complaint noted. No action pending.
2/6/2016 12:30 AM VERSO 1525 Mission St.: I received a sound complaint in regards to the venue. Was immediately able to respond. Inspection revealed no leakage of sound from the venue, whatsoever. Neighbor shares wall with venue, possible noise issues could be emanating from side room. No action pending.

2/5/2016 11:50 PM Roccapulco 3140 Mission St.: Performed a walkthrough inspection. In compliance.
2/5/2016 10:45 PM Playboy Lot A: Performed a walkthrough inspection. Extreme amount of sound escaping the makeshift even space.
2/5/2016 2:00 AM The Grand 520 4th St.: Performed a walkthrough inspection. In compliance.
2/5/2016 1:00 AM Fort One 2801 Leavenworth St.: Performed a walkthrough inspection. Some sound issues present. Issue was rectified.
2/4/2016 11:45 PM Infusion Lounge 124 Ellis St.: Performed a walkthrough inspection. In compliance on Friday night. Extreme crowd on Saturday night. No action pending.
SOUND TESTS:
2/12/2016 8:45 PM Mezzanine 444 Jesse St.: Sound test performed. Peaks at 112 dbC. Average level around 98 dbC. Final sound level of 100 dbC set.
2/5/2016 8:15 PM ATT Park/Mettalica 24 Willie Mays Plaza: Sound test performed. Peaks at 120 dbC. Average level 105 dbc on field. Sound wasn’t bass-concentrated, therefore, no major complaints expected – none received. Sound check finished 45 minutes ahead of schedule.
No public comment was made on the Executive Director’s report.
- Police Department Comments & Questions.
This item allows any member of the SFPD to address the Commission regarding matters related to nightlife and public safety. [Discussion Item]
No police comments were made.
- Hearing and Possible Action regarding conditioning existing permits under the jurisdiction of the Entertainment Commission. [Action item]
a) Paul Volfovski & Dina Jacobs, dba The Cellar, 685 Sutter St., Proposed modification of existing conditions to a Place of Entertainment permit.
Executive Director Jocelyn Kane stated the item is continued at the request of the applicant and the venue is currently closed.
- Hearing and Possible Action regarding applications for permits under the jurisdiction of the Entertainment Commission. [Action item]
EC-1358 – Cooney, Tony, Connecticut Yankee, 100 Connecticut Street, Place of Entertainment Permit, Change in Ownership.
This is a change in ownership Place of Entertainment permit application for Connecticut Yankee located at 100 Connecticut Street. Connecticut Yankee is a small, long standing sports bar and restaurant that owner Tony Cooney of Pour Guys Inc. recently took over. Connecticut Yankee used to have numerous bands play per month but the new owners plan to reduce the amount of entertainment at the premises considerably, still having jazz, blues, and rock bands perform on occasion. Southern Station approves the Place of Entertainment permit with attached basic conditions. Here to tell you more about Connecticut Yankee is owner, Tony Cooney.
Public comment
Kevin Palmer welcomed Tony Cooney as the new owner, he added he has had problems in the past with loud noise on the patio but feels he will work with the neighbors.

Commissioner Tan stated he will not be at the March 1, 2016 meeting.
Commissioner Joseph stated the Nitey Awards will be on February 29, 2016 at the Regency Ballroom.

No new business items were discussed.
