Account Withdrawal Request Form Instructions

Use this form to submit a withdrawal, transfer, donation or account closure request.   Visit the Graduating Students to learn more about options when graduating SFUSD and visit the Closing An Account page to learn more about options when leaving SFUSD, saving with a 529 or special circumstances that may require accessing your contributions before graduation including financial hardship.

This form can be completed by the parent/guardian or student (age 18+ or graduating/graduated).

You will not be able to save your progress. Please have all information ready before you begin, including information to receive payments (e.g. proof of address, 529 ScholarShare account number, Zelle registered email).

SFUSD student ID # (often starts with 20, 89, or 99) or K2C account number (begins with 332201)

  • If you are unsure of your K2C account number, look up your K2C account number or find it on a recent letter K2C has mailed you.

  • To find your SFUSD student ID, open your Synergy app, login to your synergy account or contact your school.

If you're enrolled in SFUSD and not graduating/graduated:

  • Decide if you want to keep your account open (requires at least $10 in contributions) or if you are choosing to close your K2C account.
  • You may also need proof of address if your mailing address is different than what we have on record (within past 45 days, including name and address)

If your address has changed, please provide proof of new address, such as your utility bill, home or renters insurance, pay stub within 45 days, or other proof of residency.

When selecting an option for withdrawing or transferring your funds, you will need the following information:

Zelle Payment

  • Zelle registered e-mail address and name of registered user (parent/guardian or student) if requesting a payment via bank transfer

529 Transfer

  • Name of the ScholarShare 529 account owner (typically parent/guardian) and account number (begins with 94) if requesting we wire your K2C balance for the student beneficiary
  • 529 account information (account owner name, account number) and instructions (payee name, mailing address, provider form) for a non-ScholarShare 529 plan opened for the student beneficiary – considered on a case-by-case basis for those leaving/left SFUSD

Please stop making any contributions to your K2C account (bill pay, direct deposit, branch level, mail) when closing your K2C account, leaving/left SFUSD or graduating/graduated.

Submissions will be reviewed by the K2C team and we will follow up if additional information is needed. It may take a total of one to two months from the time you submit your request to when you receive funds. Once your request is approved you will also need to confirm your payment preference.

Payments to graduating seniors for higher education expenses follow graduation. Payment requests are processed ongoingly for students who have left the district prior to graduating and currently enrolled students who are not graduating.
