Implicit Bias Training Requirement for City Commissioners and Department Heads

 

Ordinance 71-19 requires members of City boards and commissions and City Department Heads to complete the Department of Human Resources’ (DHR) online Implicit Bias training by December 31, 2019. In addition, newly appointed members of City boards and commissions must complete this training within 60 days of assuming office. The Ordinance also requires that, beginning January 15, 2020, all Commission websites must include a statement identifying each Commissioner and Department Head that has completed the training, and the date the training was completed. If the training has not been completed by a Commissioner or Department Head, that also must be indicated.
