On June 23, 2018 at approximately 2:31PM, San Francisco Police officers assigned to Southern Station responded to a residence on the 200 block of King Street regarding a home invasion robbery.  Upon arrival the officers made contact with the victim, a sixtyfive year old, female San Francisco resident. The victim had been beaten and choked by the suspect. Officers requested an ambulance to respond and the victim was transported to the hospital. After treatment, she was released for non-life threatening injuries. The victim told officers the suspect entered her apartment, assaulted her, and stole her property before fleeing.

Investigators from the SFPD Robbery Detail conducted an investigation and issued a crime bulletin including surveillance video images of the suspect.  On June 24, 2018 at approximately 2:51PM, just 24 hours after the attack, Southern Station officers located the suspect at a bus stop on 5th and Howard Streets. He was taken into custody without incident and was still in possession of items stolen from the victim the day before.  

The suspect, 30 year-old San Francisco resident Kem Lewis Le Blanc, was booked into San Francisco County Jail on charges of burglary, robbery, false imprisonment-elder abuse, elder abuse causing injury, and possession of stolen property. Le Blanc is on active California Department of Corrections parole for robbery.  An administrative parole -hold was added to his charges. Due to pending identification matters, no booking photo will be released at this time.
