SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY FACILITY COMMISSION

Request for public comment may also be heard after Commission discussion of an agenda item by completing an information card and submitting it to the Commission secretary.

Requests are given “first come, first serve”.

Priority and speakers may be limited to three minutes.

1.0               CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL AND CONSENT CALENDAR

 

1.1               Call to Order and announcements from President

Announcement:  The Sunshine Ordinance prohibits the use of electronic sound-producing devices at/during public meetings.  Please be advised that

the meeting chair may remove any persons(s) responsible for the ringing or use of cell phones, pagers and similar sound-producing electronic devices from the meeting room.

           

1.2               Roll Call

 

1.3               Consent Calendar:  All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda, are considered routine by the SECF commission and will be acted upon by a single vote of the Commission.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission or a member of the public so requests before or at the meeting when the consent Agenda is called, in which event the matter shall be removed from the consent Agenda and considered as a separate item.

 

1.4               Proposed Action: Be it resolved that the minutes of the SECF Commission Meeting of Wednesday, September 22, 2010 be approved submitted.

            Members of the public may address the commission up to three minutes on matters

            Under the jurisdiction of the Commission that is not on today’s agenda.

·         Report on the activities and operations of SECF Commission services, including, personnel, facility general improvements, programs and services.

·         Updates: Budget preparation for 11/12 fiscal year

·         Annual Report recently adopted by the SECF Commission as legislatively mandated has been distributed to the City Officials including the Mayor, Board of Supervisors, City Library, and City Attorney and posted on the City Webmaster.

·         Updates:  Assembly member Tom Ammiano Schedule pending for future Commission Meeting.

·         Updates:  Heidi Hardin, Executive Director of Think Round Inc., has been scheduled for Commission Meeting of Tuesday, November 9, 2010.

·         Updates:  Senator Mark Leno has been scheduled for Commission Meeting of Thursday, December 9, 2010.

 

8.0               SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION STAFF REPORT & UPDATES. (Information/Discussion)

 

 

9.0               NEW AND ONGOING BUSINESS:  (Discussion & Action)

·         Updates: Per Commissioner Kennedy’s request inviting parents of the Southeast sector school children to meet with SECF Commissioners and hear updates from Dr, Patricia Gray of the SF Unified School District. (Discussion).

·         Updates from Deputy City Attorney re: request to draft appropriate language for the Commission review about adopting/sponsoring Think Round, Inc’s Children’s Mural Program and Kid’s Environmental Education Program (KEEP) (discussion & action).

 

10.0            NEW BUSINESS REQUESTS for Future Agenda Items.  (Discussion Item)

(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce agenda items for future consideration).
