2. Approval of RDTF Minutes of January 4, 2012 (Discussion and possible action)

3. Mapping (Discussion and possible action) The Task Force will hear public input and modify the working draft map developed on January 4, 2012.

4. Community Outreach (Discussion) The Task Force will review current and future outreach activities.
5. Task Force Budget (Discussion and possible action) The Task Force will review the current budget and expenses, including discussion and possible action to seek additional funds.
6. Voting Rights Act Analysis
A. Public comment on all matters pertaining to agenda item 6.
B. Potential Closed session – CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – ANTICIPATED LITIGATION. (Discussion and possible action.)
i. Motion to invoke the attorney-client privilege and go into closed session to confer with or receive advice from legal counsel. (Action.)
ii. Closed session held pursuant to Brown Act section 54956.9(b) (Cal. Gov. Code §54956.9(b)) and Sunshine Ordinance section 67.10(d)(2) (S.F. Admin. Code §67.10(d)(2)). Significant exposure to litigation as defendant. Number of potential cases: At least one. (Discussion and possible action.) The closed session discussion will focus on potential legal challenges based on Section 2 of the federal Voting Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1973, to the City's redistricting of supervisorial districts. [Note: If the Task Force chooses not to hold a closed session, it may choose to discuss this item in open session.]
C. Reconvene in open session.
i. Vote regarding disclosure of closed session action and deliberations. (Action.) Vote pursuant to Sunshine Ordinance section 67.12(a) (S.F. Admin. Code § 67.12(a)) on whether to disclose any portion of closed session discussion.
ii. Disclosure of action taken (if any) to the extent required by Brown Act section 54957.1(a) (Cal. Gov. Code §54957.1(a)) and Sunshine Ordinance section 67.12(b) (S.F. Admin. Code §67.12(b)).
7. Task Force Member Reports (Discussion) Individual members of the Task Force will report on their work assignments and discussions with members of the public or public officials concerning the Task Force's future work. Work assignments include: outreach to ethnic media (Member Mondejar), outreach to neighborhood groups (Member Alonso), data (Member Pilpel), social media (Member Schreiber), budget (Member Lam), ambassadorship (Chair McDonnell), scheduling of meetings (Member Tidwell).
8. Public Comment: Members of the public may address the Redistricting Task Force on matters that are within the Task Force’s jurisdiction, but not on today’s agenda.

Public Comment
Public Comment will be taken before or during the Task Force’s consideration of each agenda item. Speakers may address the Task Force for up to three minutes on that item. During General Public Comment, members of the public may address the Task Force on matters that are within the Task Force’s jurisdiction and are not on the agenda.
