San Francisco Planning Announces Corey Teague as New Zoning Administrator

San Francisco Planning has named Corey Teague, AICP as the new Zoning Administrator for the City and County of San Francisco. Mr. Teague has been serving as the Assistant Zoning Administrator for the City for the past five years.

Since joining San Francisco Planning in 2007, Corey has contributed to a wide variety of Department functions including development review, impact fees, transportation planning, affordable housing, and long range planning. As Assistant Zoning Administrator, he has applied a specific focus to implementing complex policies, impact fees, legislation, the Office Development Limitation Program (Prop. M), the Transferable Development Rights (TDR) Program, and the Transportation Sustainability Program (TSP).

Corey began his career working on strategic, long range, and technical planning projects at the Western Piedmont Council of Governments (WPCOG) in Hickory, North Carolina and the Alexander County Planning Department in North Carolina. He has a Bachelor of Science in Community Planning and Geography from Appalachian State University, and a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Teague lives in Cole Valley with his wife and daughter.

The Zoning Administrator (ZA) administers and enforces the Planning Code of the City and County of San Francisco. The ZA hears and makes determinations on variance applications; provides written interpretations and clarifications of the Planning Code; advises the Director of Planning and Planning Commission on amendments to the Planning Code; monitors and maintains data related to the ongoing implementation of the Planning Code; and appears before the Board of Supervisors, Board of Appeals, Planning Commission, and other bodies on Planning Code matters.
