Effective January 1, 2019, residential development projects that comply by paying the Affordable Housing Fee will be subject to the following fee based on the Gross Floor Area of residential use, rather than the number of dwelling units. The fee will be applied to the applicable percentage of the project, as set forth in Section 415.5 of the Planning Code:
San Francisco Planning has named Corey Teague, AICP as the new Zoning Administrator for the City and County of San Francisco. Mr. Teague has been serving as the Assistant Zoning Administrator for the City for the past five years.

New application procedures are in effect as of Monday, June 4, 2018. These changes are a key component of the Department's strategy to meet the accelerated project review timeframes established in Mayor Ed Lee's Executive Directive 17-02 on Housing Production issued last year.
Submittal of a single, consolidated Project Application for all projects seeking an entitlement action and/or environmental review is now required.
