COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Ben Bleiman (President), Al Perez, Laura Thomas, Cyn Wang

COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Dori Caminong (Vice President), Dave Falzon

1. Consideration and possible action to adopt a resolution making findings to allow teleconferenced meetings under California Government Code Section 54953(e).

Motion: Commissioner Wang made a motion to adopt the resolution; Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission adopted the resolution.

3. Approval of Meeting Minutes.  Discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the June 21, 2022 Commission meetings. [Discussion and Possible Action Item]

Motion: Commissioner Wang made a motion to adopt the minutes; Commissioner Perez seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission approved the minutes of the June 21, 2022 Commission meetings.

6. Hearing and Possible Action regarding applications for permits under the jurisdiction of the Entertainment Commission. [Discussion and Possible Action Item]  

Consent Calendar:

All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Calendar, are considered to be routine by the Entertainment Commission, and will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission, the public, or staff so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered as a separate item at this or a future hearing.

  1. EC-1639 - Yanyi Tan Do (Shirley) and Tri Do, dba Would You Believe Cocktails, 4652 Geary Blvd - Limited Live Performance

Motion: Commissioner Wang made a motion to approve the permits with the Good Neighbor Policy; Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission approved the permits with the Good Neighbor Policy.

Motion: Commissioner Wang made a motion to approve the permit with the staff recommendations; Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission approved the permits with staff recommendations.

Motion: Commissioner Thomas made a motion to approve the permit with staff recommendations; Commissioner Perez seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission approved the permits with staff recommendations.

Motion: President Bleiman made a motion to elect Commissioner Dori Caminong as Vice President; Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission voted to elect Commissioner Dori Caminong as Vice President.

Ayes: President Bleiman, Commissioner Perez, Commissioner Thomas, Commissioner Wang

8. Election of President: This item allows the Commissioners to nominate and elect the seat of President of the Entertainment Commission for one-year term. [Action Item]

Motion: Commissioner Wang made a motion to elect Commissioner Ben Bleiman as President; Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission voted to elect Commissioner Ben Bleiman as President.
