COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Ben Bleiman (President), Dori Caminong (Vice President), Al Perez, Laura Thomas

COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Dave Falzon, Cyn Wang

THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY PRESIDENT BLEIMAN AT 5:35 PM

CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL      

 

1. Consideration and possible action to adopt a resolution making findings to allow teleconferenced meetings under California Government Code Section 54953(e).  [Discussion and Possible Action Item]

Motion: Vice President Caminong made a motion to adopt the resolution; Commissioner Perez seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission adopted the resolution.

2. General Public Comment 

Members of the public may address the Commission on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission. With respect to agenda items, members of the public may address the Commission for up to three minutes at the time such item is called.

3. Approval of Meeting Minutes.  Discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the May 3, May 17 and June 7, 2022 Commission meetings. [Discussion and Possible Action Item]

Motion: Vice President Caminong made a motion to adopt the resolution; Commissioner Perez seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission approved the minutes of the May 3, May 17 and June 7, 2022 Commission meetings.

Ayes: President Bleiman, Vice President Caminong, Commissioner Perez, Commissioner Thomas

4. Report from Executive Director: Legislative/Policy Update: Update on BOS File No. 220678 - Ordinance amending the Police Code to update the Fixed Place Outdoor Amplified Sound permit filing fee, permit amendment filing fee, and license fee, and Update on SB 930 - Alcoholic beverages: hours of sale; Staff and Office Update: Update on staffing changes, and brief review of EC Retreat and Summit events; Update on Board of Appeals Actions: none; Corrective Actions: none.  [Discussion Item]

5. Report from Deputy Director: Deputy Director Kaitlyn Azevedo reports on recent enforcement activities. [Discussion Item]

6. Hearing and Possible Action regarding applications for permits under the jurisdiction of the Entertainment Commission. [Discussion and Possible Action Item]  

Consent Calendar:

All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Calendar, are considered to be routine by the Entertainment Commission, and will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Commission.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission, the public, or staff so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered as a separate item at this or a future hearing.

Motion: Commissioner Perez made a motion to approve the permits with the Good Neighbor Policy and SFPD recommendations; Vice President Caminong seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission approved the permits with staff recommendations.

Motion: Commissioner Perez made a motion to approve the permit with the Good Neighbor Policy and staff recommendations; Vice President Caminong seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission approved the permits with staff recommendations.

Motion: Vice President Caminong made a motion to approve the permit with staff recommendations; Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion.

Action: The Commission approved the permits with staff recommendations.
