The AFTER (Aims to Foster Transformation & Ensure Restitution) Program seeks to pilot an alternative to the traditional restitution process and set both the young person who did the harm and the person harmed on a stronger and more economically secure path.
The AFTER Program was launched through a partnership between Huckleberry Youth Programs’ Community Assessment and Resource Center (CARC), the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, Public Defender’s Office, Juvenile Probation Department, The Bar Association of San Francisco, and the San Francisco Financial Justice Project.
