1.  Call to Order:  12:01 p.m.

 

2.  Roll Call:

Present:  Murphy, Posey, Tran, Wade-Thompson (arr.12:03 )

3.  General Public Comment:  None

 

4.  Adoption of Minutes – April 11, 2022.

5.  1550 Evans Updates:  (discussion only) (Berry & Pharr)

Update on the Access Program -

Staff reported reviews of the four submitted proposals will be completed by Wednesday, July 13 and final scoring will begin.  It is anticipated finalist will be chosen as early as next week.

 

Grand Opening –

The event is on target and staff is working with the communications team to develop marketing and outreach messaging.  In the coming weeks you will hear and see everything from radio, and bus shelter ads, to social media promoting the new Center and the Grand Opening.

 

Items for Review –

Final Fee Schedule for room rental and reservations/ Operations Manual/ Tenant Manual and Policies.

 

Hiring Process -

Director Pharr reported Deputy Berry was recommended for rehiring for the 1824 position and the reinstatement was in process.  Interviews are being held for the 9922 positions.  The intern should be an individual that is capable, represents the community, has strong academic achievement, and is multi-lingual.  We look to filling these positions by the end of the month and begin onboarding by mid-August.

 

Tenant Solicitation RFP –

Director Pharr reported that 16 proposals were received and she noted the thoroughness of the Real Estate Team as the process moves forward toward evaluation by a panel that will begin their review this week.  Upon completion of the review, the recommendations will be forwarded to the Committees in August for further recommendations to the full Commission.

Director Pharr reported we are moving forward with the new Center and a soft Opening on August 20.  Staff will begin moving into the building during the month of August and early September

7.  New Committee Business: (Discussion & Possible Action)

Director Pharr advised the items needing review would return to the Committee at the next meeting.  They are as follows:  Fee Schedule/ Review of Operations Manual/ Tenant Manual and Policies/ Recommendations for the Access Program/ Recommendations for Tenant Partners
