Asthma Task Force must provide guidance to the Board of Supervisors on the Mirant Settlement, to benefit residents of Potrero and Bayview Hunters Point districts impacted by past power plant emissions, and to improve conditions related to asthma burden of these residents.

Transitioning to a Community Coalition:
•There is no requirement to have a legislative sponsor – possible interested parties include Dist 10 Supv.; good strategy for future as Coalition is to develop individual Board champions for individual projects

•10 year Strategic Plan Implementation Report; Karen is writing a 10 year Highlights report

•Need to outline sustainability needs – make a list of current projects and who wants to champion them – Anjali/Karen will send former reports on expenditures of BOS funding

•Possible Health Commission presentation

• Involve founders and early participants?
-i.e. Dee Epps, Rose T., Kathy TP, Beth S., Julie M., Maria Elena A., Veronica L., others.
• Get a proclamation with includes the names of the founders and key early contributors?
• Media Plans—Several members said keep the transition low profile, don’t give the impression that the ATF is ending as we have excellent name recognition and should keep it that way

Upcoming Events:

• Release of Child Care Strategies for Eliminating and Reducing Exposure to Bleach report

•Report is finalized and ready to print; Luz is funded through August but additional funds are needed to support continuation of the project.  Karen submitting an EPA grant.  Luz presented at Gateway and will be prioritizing child care sites.  May incorporate the Go Green Rating Scale. 

• Early May World Asthma Day
• June 30th SFATF transition date
