Disability Community Feedback needed: please participate in an Affordable Housing Forum and Survey
Dear Disability Community Members:Â
The Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) conducts the Affordable Housing Needs Assessment every three years to understand the housing needs of older people and adults with disabilities and to recommend improvements to the affordable housing system.
If you are a person with a disability who lives in affordable housing in San Francisco, has tried searching for affordable accessible housing in San Francisco, or are someone who desires accessible affordable housing in San Francisco, please consider participating in a forum, and/or completing the survey.
We are seeking feedback from all people with disabilities, including people of color with disabilities, and especially if you identify as part of the blind or low vision, hard of hearing, or chronic health disability communities.Â
Please register for a community forum or take the survey.
The forums take place in June, with virtual or in-person options. The survey and forums are available with language translation.Â
A Deaf community forum is forthcoming at the end of July, dates and format (virtual or in-person) to be announced.Â
Alternate format or reasonable accommodations:
To request a paper survey or a reasonable accommodation for one of the forums, please contact:
