Disability Community: Schedule your vaccine appointment before eligibility expands

March 31, 2021

Dear Disability Community Members:

As a reminder, all people with disabilities are currently eligible for the vaccine. On April 1 and again on April 15 eligibility is going to expand significantly to people 50+ and 16+, respectively. Supply continues to be variable, but if you have not done so already, we recommend tying to book an appointment before the major eligibility expansions.

Clinics specifically for people with disabilities are available, contingent on vaccine supply and current demand.  Please call 628-652-2700 for more information about these clinics, including one beginning this Friday, April 2

Fares on Muni or Paratransit are free for trips to and from your appointment. SFMTA is also making additional taxi value available for those who use the Essential Trip Card. Both Paratransit and the Essential Trip Card programs require pre-registration.

Ramped taxis may be an option for you as well. Please find this list of ramped taxi drivers currently in operation.

Transportation Network Companies like Uber, Lyft and Via also have accessible transportation features.

Additional vaccine sites are also available.  If you have any issues scheduling an appointment or if you would like to learn about vaccine options, please call the COVID Command Call Center at (628) 652-2700. The call center is booking appointments at some locations.
