Mayor Lee on SFPD Officer Injured in Castro District Shooting
We are hoping for a swift and full recovery for the San Francisco Police Officer who was injured while on patrol duty in the Castro District early Wednesday morning. His brave actions and swift response helped to ensure the safety of the community.
We also continue to send our thoughts and best wishes to Officer Elia Lewin-Tankel, who was injured while on patrol duty in the Tenderloin on October 18. These officers are just two of the finest examples of the San Francisco Police Department’s dedication to community policing.
These officers walk the beat and patrol our streets, ready to react to any incident at a moment’s notice. They courageously protect the residents of their districts and our City, acting as the public faces of the police department while provide a calming presence for the community. We are incredibly grateful and appreciative of their commitment and dedication to the people of San Francisco.
