Investing in Neighborhoods

Mayor Lee has established several programs to support local commercial corridors. The Invest in Neighborhoods Initiative is an inter-agency partnership that provides business counseling, loan services, technical assistance and storefront design help to businesses in 25 different neighborhoods throughout San Francisco.

Ensuring a Vibrant Economy

When Mayor Lee took office, unemployment in San Francisco was at 10 percent, and major storefronts in downtown San Francisco sat vacant. Now, unemployment is less than three percent, 140,000 jobs have been added to the local economy, and San Francisco has enjoyed the greatest sustained economic expansion in City history.
