The Mayor's Office of Public Policy and Finance prepares and submits a balanced city budget in June of each year.

The Mayor's Office of Public Policy and Finance is comprised of the Mayor's Budget Director, Deputy Budget Director, Fiscal and Policy Analysts, and Fiscal and Policy Assistant.

Other functions of the Office of Public Policy and Finance include:

• Participating in the development and monitoring of the Mayor's policy initiatives;
• Providing the public with information about complex financial issues and information about government operations;
• Participating in the development and monitoring of performance measurement tools and government efficiency; and
• Progressing various legislative issues.
