As per the 2024-2025 Youth Commission Bylaws (PDF), the Civic Engagement and Education Committee is a standing issue-based committee of five to seven Youth Commissioners.

The Civic Engagement and Education Committee focuses on:

(a) Public Schools - Curriculum, Education, and Mental Health Services; 
(b) Civic Representation - Voter Preregistration and Registration, Vote16; 
(c) Safety - School Safety and Addressing Sexual Violence Among Youth

Members of the public are welcome to attend Civic Engagement and Education Committee!
