1. Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 5:13 PM. Commissioners present: Madeleine Matz, William Juarez, Stephanie Li. Luis Avalos-Nunez
Staff present: Monica Guzman. There was quorum.
There was no public comment.
2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)
Commissioner Matz, seconded by Commissioner Li, moved to approve the agenda. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

A. Brainstorm and discussion of committee priorities
a. Update on partnering with Peer Resources
The committee plans to meet with Peer Resources from June Jordan High School to discuss collaboration.Â
b. Update on resolution for unaccompanied minors
The committee reached out to Mia TuMutch on the OAC to see if the OAC and the EJI Committee could work on reaching out to undocumented youth to assess their needs. The EJI Committee reached out to the Alero Project to see if they could give a presentation to the committee January 26th. The EJI Committee reached out to local immigration attorneys to discuss the possibility of having a roundtable/ town hall type meeting with community members, community organizations and others who work with undocumented youth (specifically unaccompanied alien children).
The committee also reached out to OCEIA to hear an update on the DACA pilot program. They responded during the meeting and said that they received their funding and will update the committee when they start the program.
Commissioner Matz and Commissioner Avalos-Nunez will reach out to the Mayor's Office to schedule a meeting to hear any updates on unaccompanied minors.
c. Update on CBA resolution
The committee did some reading on the CBAs and plans to do intensive research over the weekend.Â
B. Review current pertinent legislation
7. Executive Committee Report
Commissioner Avalos- Nunez reminded committee about Mid-Year Retreat this weekend.

8. Staff Report
Staff mentioned a volunteering opportunity for the committee on February 27th. Commissioner Juarez, Li, and Avalos-Nunez said they would be interested.Â
