1. Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Yu at 5:07pm.

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)
Commissioner Sicairos, seconded by Commissioner Bernick moved to approve the agenda for the meeting. The motion was approved by acclamation.

3. Approval of Minutes (Action Item)

Commissioner Wu, seconded by Commissioner Sicairos moved to approve the minutes from March 5, 2014. The motion was approved by acclamation.

5. Business (All Items to Follow Discussion and Possible Action)
A. Check-in
The Commissioners checked in about their day and week.
B. Disability Awareness Survey
Commissioner Yu and Wu shared their experience distributing the survey at their schools. The committee then looked over the survey questions and decided that they would all distribute the surveys at all of their schools. In addition, Commissioner Michel Li had volunteered to distribute surveys as well.
C. Continue working on committee priorities
Commissioners broke up into pairs and looked at a disability awareness toolkit, and a disability 101 curriculum. They pulled out points that they found would help make their resolutions stronger and shared it with the entire committee. Committee members shared the reasons how each point relates to awareness and why they would complement their policy work.
Commissioners then revisited their draft resolution and went through each clause to evaluate the intention behind the clause. After going through the document, they requested that staff put all pertinent information/clauses in one document. The committee members also agreed to come in at their own times to have a resolution working session.
6. Staff Report
A. Programmatic updates, review upcoming events
Mr. Lu shared upcoming opportunities and resource fairs for committee members to participate in. Commissioner Sicairos would like to participate in the CAHRO event, but can’t make planning sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Commissioner Bernick may attend the ISA Resource Fair.
The committee also decided that they would like to have someone come speak with them about Youthvote at their next meeting for 20 minutes.
7. Items to Report to Executive Committee (Action Item)
Commissioner Yu, seconded by Commissioner Wu, motioned to report updates in their progress with the survey and resolution. The motion was approved by acclamation.

9. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 6:54pm.
