1. Call to Order and Roll Call for Attendance
Chair Avalos-Nunez called the meeting to order at 10:22 am.
Commissioners present: Jillian Wu, Lily Marshall-Fricker, Erica Kong, Stephanie Li, Cris Plunkett, Anna He, Jessica Calderon, Noah David, Giovanna Soto, William Juarez, Cecilia Nicole Galeano, Madeleine Matz, Luis Avalos-Nunez, Anna Bernick, Jarrett Mao, Grace Pating, Hatim Mansori
Commissioners absent: Commissioner Marshall-Fricker, Commissioner Mansori
Staff present: Adele Failes-Carpenter, Leah LaCroix, Monica Guzman
There was quorum.
Commissioner Marshall-Fricker noted present at 12:02 pm.

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)
Commissioner David, seconded by Commissioner Kong, moved to approve the agenda. There was no public comment. The motion passed by acclamation.

5. Youth Commission Business (All Items to Follow Discussion and Possible Action)
A. Policy Research and Resolution Writing
Presenters: Commissioner Li, Commissioner Kong
Commissioner Li and Commissioner Kong gave a presentation on policy research and resolution writing. They focused on the main components of a resolution and techniques for most effective researching.
B. Review Footage from May 20, 2015 Youth Commission Budget and Policy Priority Presentation to Board of Supervisors’ Budget and Finance Committee
Presenters: Commissioner Avalos-Nuñez
The commissioners reviewed the footage from that last budget and policy priorities presentation. Chair Avalos-Nunez gave some background on the priorities and explained to his colleagues the importance of the BPP presentation.

6. Committee Reports (Discussion Only)
A. Executive Committee
The executive committee did not have a report back during this meeting.
B. Housing, Environment, and City Services Committee
The HECS committee discussed their goals for the remainder of the term: 1) the year of homeless youth, 2) dedicated open space for youth and TAY and 3) affordable housing bonus program.
C. Civic Engagement Committee
The CE committee discussed their goals for the remainder of the term: 1) getting Vote16 on the ballot, 2) getting more youth in the Youth Empowerment Academy and 3) working with the SAC on a Vote16 resolution.
D. Economic Justice and Immigration Committee
The EJI committee discussed their goals for the remainder of the term: 1) working with peer resources to have an immigrant youth support group (focusing on services for undocumented youth), 2) ensuring that the DACA pilot program is up and running, 3) CBA resolution and 4) having a townhall/ workgroup on issues affecting UAC (unaccompanied alien children).
E. Youth Justice Committee
The YJ committee discussed their goals for the remainder of the term: 1) work on a youth SFPD training.
