1. Call to Order and Roll Call


Chair Soto called the meeting to order at 5:25pm. Commissioners present: Giovanna Soto, Lily Marshall-Fricker, Jarrett Mao, Erica Kong. Commissioner Cris Plunkett noted present at 5:26pm. Staff present: Leah LaCroix. There was quorum.

There was no public comment.

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)


Commissioner Mao, seconded by Commissioner Marshall-Fricker moved to approve the agenda. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

3. Approval of Minutes (Action Item)

Commissioner Kong, seconded by Commissioner Mao moved to approve the minutes. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

5. Presentations (All Items to Follow Discussion and Possible Action)


A. Presentation on Marble Tree and the 2016 Mental Health Resource Fair
Presenter: Hillary Liang, Founder and Project Manager at Marble Tree

Ms. Liang presented on the mission and purpose of Marble Tree, a non-profit organization that strives to bring awareness to mental health issues among the homeless residents of San Francisco. She invited the committee to attend the pop-up fairs, Sunday Streets, where Mable Tree is bringing awareness to the organization and the issues they priorities.

Commissioner Mao, Seconded by Commissioner Plunkett, made a general motion of support for Marble Tree and their effort to bring attention to the mental health need in the homeless community. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

There was no further public comment.

6. Business (All Items to Follow Discussion and Possible Action)


A. Update on committee priorities and resolutions
Individual members of the committee shared updates on progress made on their policy priority research. The committee conducted research on their priorities, crafted research questions, and set deadline for draft resolution.

There was no public comment.

B. Review and update on current pertinent legislation

Staff informed the committee on the status of legislation at the Board of Supervisors that pertains to the work of the committee.

There was no public comment.

7. Executive Committee Report


There was none.

8. Staff Report


Staff Leah LaCroix inform the committee of Monica Guzman’s last day is Friday, February 26, 2016. Ms. LaCroix also informed the committee that the 2016-17 Youth Commission applications are available, and encouraged the committee members to share with their peers.
