1. Call to Order and Roll Call

Vice Chair Kong called the meeting to order at 5:20 pm. Commissioners present: Erica Kong, Lily Marshall-Fricker, Jarrett Mao. Commissioners Plunkett and Soto arrived late. Staff present: Monica Guzman. There was quorum.

There was no public comment.


2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)

Commissioner Mao, seconded by Commissioner Kong, moved to approve the agenda. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.


3. Approval of Minutes (Action Item)

Commissioner Mao, seconded by Commissioner Kong, moved to approve the minutes. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

A. Review Hearing on Family Homelessness

Staff Monica handed out copies of the PowerPoint presentations from the September 25th hearing on family homelessness at the Joint City and School District Select Committee. The commissioners reviewed and discussed these handouts.

There was no public comment.

B. Updates on Local Homeless Coordinating Board Policy and Legislation Committee
Presenter: Cris Plunkett

Commissioner Plunkett gave an update on the Local Homeless Coordinating Board Policy and Legislation committee he attended. He mentioned that the meeting emphasized establishing a relationship of officers and homeless people. He also went over the legislation referred that the Youth Commission will be hearing on Monday.

C. Prepare for Full YC Informational Presentation on Evictions Legislation 2.0 and Mission
Moratorium

Staff Monica went over Evictions Legislation 2.0 for the upcoming Full YC meeting. She also went over the pending HECS committee work that the Youth Commissioners were working on last year. The two main pending issues are the Park Equity resolution and the Designating 2016 Year of Homeless Youth.

There was no public comment.
