1. Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 5:08 pm. Commissioners present: Mia Tu Mutch, Alex Guzman-Ramos, Vee Taumoepeau, Eric Wu, Paul Monge-Rodriguez. Commissioners absent: Lily Marshall-Fricker, Vanessa Warri. Staff present: Mario Yedidia. There was quorum.
2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)
Commissioner Wu, seconded by Commissioner Guzman-Ramos, moved to approve the agenda. The motion was approved unanimously by acclamation.

3. Approval of Minutes (Action Item)
A. September 10, 2012
Commissioner Guzman-Ramos, seconded by Commissioner Taumoepeau, moved to approve the minutes to the meeting of September 10, 2012. The motion was approved unanimously by acclamation.

5. Business (All Items to Follow Discussion and Possible Action)
A. Overview of Mayor’s Office of Housing and Presentation on the status of Transitional Age Youth Housing Plan
Presenter: Anne Romero, Mayor’s Office of Housing
Anne Romero gave a general overview of the Mayor’s Office of Housing and the current status of Transitional Age Youth Housing plan. Commissioners asked clarifying questions.
B. Current Status of San Francisco’s Affordable Housing Development and Management Landscape
Presenter: Malcolm Yeung, Deputy Director of Programs, Chinatown Community Development Center (CCDC) Whitney Jones, Director of Housing Development, CCDC
Malcolm Yeung, Deputy Director of Programs, and Whitney Jones, Director of Housing Development, from the Chinatown Community Development Center provided an introduction to their respective roles at CCDC. Mr. Yeung and Mr. Jones then gave a detailed overview of CCDC’s mission, goals, and work. Commissioners asked clarifying questions.
C. Update on Youth Commission and Department of Public Health work to implement cultural competency trainings related to serving Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) youth for City employees and nonprofit contractors required under Chapter 12N of Administrative Code
Presenter: Commissioner Mia Tu Mutch
Commissioner Tu Mutch updated her colleagues on the status of her work with 12N Administrative Code. Commissioner Tu Mutch has been setting up meetings with different Supervisors to get feedback on how to move on with 12N training. Commissioners asked clarifying questions. Commissioner Tu Mutch will continue her meetings, and gather feedback from service providers as well.
D. Review committee S.M.A.R.T. goals (i.e., goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound)
Commissioners then spent some time reviewing S.M.A.R.T. goals.
E. Next steps on developing policy priorities
Commissioners will be working on this at the next committee meeting.

There were none, as Commissioner Warri was absent from the meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:00pm.
