1. Call to Order and Roll Call

The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m.

Commissioners present: Carrion, Gomez, Monge-Rodriguez

There was quorum.

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)

Commissioner Gomez, seconded by Commissioner Monge-Rodriguez, moved to approve the agenda. This motion was approved by acclamation.

A. Check in

Commissioners shared updates from their weeks and from recent community meetings.

B. Work on committee priorities

Commissioners discussed next steps for following up with SFPD regarding the youth training recommendation for new recruits.

Commissioner Carrion gave an update from giving public comment at the January Juvenile Probation Commission meeting regarding the possible arming of Juvenile Probation Officers. Commissioners discussed next steps following the passage of the resolution urging against the arming of juvenile probation officers.

Commissioners discussed next steps following the passage of the resolution urging against the issuance of tasers, including attendance at upcoming community forums on tasers.

The committee discussed inviting other commissioners to the upcoming community forums on tasers.
