1. Call to Order and Roll Call

The meeting was called to order at 2:38pm. Committee members present: Commissioner Rene Ontiveros, Commissioner Angel Carrion, Commissioner Rachel Brodwin. Staff present: Mario Yedidia. There was quorum.

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)

Commissioner Ontiveros, seconded by Commissioner Carrion, moved to approve the agenda. This motion was approved unanimously by acclamation.

3. Approval of Minutes (Action Item)

A. May 30, 2012

Commissioner Carrion, seconded by Commissioner Ontiveros, moved to approve the minutes to the meeting of May 30, 2012. This motion was approved unanimously by acclamation.

4. Public Comment on Items not on Agenda (Discussion Only)

There was none.

5. Business (All Items Below Discussion and Possible Action)

A. Follow up work on:
i) Juvenile Probation Department’s capital priorities and recreation access at the Juvenile Justice Center

Committee members developed a survey to be administered to youth currently detained in the Juvenile Justice Center—and youth who have recently been released—regarding how much outdoor exercise they get and what kind of recreational programming they would like to see. It was agreed that they would send this survey along to the Chief Juvenile Probation Officer and ask him to administer the survey.

ii) Recommendations to the San Francisco Police Department

This item was tabled.

6. Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned at 3:55pm.
