1. Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 5:42 PM. Commissioners present: Madeleine Matz, William Juarez, Stephanie Li. Luis Avalos-Nunez was absent. Staff present: Monica Guzman. There was quorum.
There was no public comment.
2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)
Commissioner Li, seconded by Commissioner Matz, moved to approve the agenda. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

A. Review and edit ELL survey and discuss next steps
a. Review EL data reports
As discussed at last meeting, the EJI committee decided to not conduct the EL survey anymore. Instead they plan to write a resolution urging the Board of Supervisors to continue support for unaccompanied minors in San Francisco. Commissioner Avalos-Nunez will take the lead on drafting this resolution.

C. Brainstorm and discussion of committee priorities
Aside from a resolution supporting UAC, the EJI committee wants to work on mental health issues amongst immigrant youth. Commissioner Li reached out to Peer Resources at her school who suggested she reach out to staff at Peer Resources. During the meeting the EJI drafted and sent out an e-mail seeking a meeting with staff. The EJI committee will also work on framing questions to departments for a possible hearing on youth and family affordability in SF. Commissioner Li has reached out to Commissioner Soto of the HECS committee and is waiting for follow up. Staff Monica will touch base with former staff Allen to ensure that the committee has background information on CBAs. Lastly they mentioned their interest in more funding for mental health.
Commissioner Li and Commissioner Matz will be out of town until January therefore follow up on priorities will occur in January. During this time Commissioner Juarez and Commissioner Avalos-Nunez will work on researching for the UAC resolutions.

8. Staff Report
Staff Monica Guzman reminded youth to finish their sexual harassment training before the end of the year. She also reminded them about the mid-year retreat that will be held on January 16-17th.
